# Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Tollgate Service and is
part of the Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to it. We may update

## You may not use the Service to:

**Illegal or harmful content and activity**
- Violate any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's intellectual property,
  privacy, or other rights.
- Process, generate, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that
  facilitates fraud, harassment, or violence.
- Create or distribute malware, or attempt to compromise any system.
- Process child sexual abuse material or content that sexualizes minors — this
  results in immediate termination and referral to authorities.

**Data you don't have the right to use**
- Submit personal, sensitive, or confidential information about others without the
  legal right and any required consent to do so.
- Use the Service to build a dataset or take actions in violation of a third
  party's terms, a website's terms, or applicable anti-circumvention or computer-
  access laws. (Tollgate's own supply side is designed to be compliant; don't use
  it to launder non-compliant activity.)

**Abuse of the Service**
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, billing, authentication, or
  other Service controls.
- Share, resell, or sublicense your API key or access except as expressly
  permitted.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach security or
  authentication measures, without our prior written permission.
- Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Service, or
  attempt to deny service to others.
- Use automated means to create multiple accounts to obtain additional trial
  credits or evade limits.

**Misrepresentation**
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service to impersonate
  others.

## High-risk uses

The Service is not designed for use in situations where failure or inaccuracy could
lead to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage (e.g.,
life support, emergency services, critical infrastructure). Do not use it for such
purposes.

## Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access,
remove content, or take other action we deem appropriate. Serious or repeated
violations may result in termination **without refund of credits** and, where
appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
